Glover, 57, of 19 High Alfred, died Friday evening (Sept. 10, 1965) in Bethesda Community Hospital in North Hornell, after a three-day illness. A native of South Dansville, he had spent most of his life in Alfred and for the past 14 years had operated the Glover Grocery on Main Street, Alfred. He was a member and past master of Universitw Lodge 944 of Alfred; a member and past patron of the Canacadea Chap member of the Corning Consistory. He was a member and deacon of the Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Criles Glover; on daughter, Mrs. Paul Kukuvkla of First Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church in Alfred for services at 2 p.m. Monday. Pastor David Clarke will officiate.

Burial will be in Alfred Rural Cemetery. LOTS OF GRID WINS Syracuse Syracuse University football coach Ben Schwartzwalder is one of a very few college coaches with more than 100 wins at a single school. Ben is 101-50-2 at Syracuse. I Hall, 83, former Castile resident who died Friday (Sept. 10, 1 1965) in Genesee Memorial Hospital, Batavia.

I Mr. Hall was born Dec. 4, 1881, at Caneadea, and spent his early years farming in that area. i He resided here 23 years, employed by the Robeson Cutlery Co. and the Warsaw Elevator Co.

For the last six years, he had lived at Batavia. He is survived by his widow, EUERLEIN recalls when 12 passenger trains a day stopped here, running between Buffalo and Ho-boken. Mt. Morris was one of the main stops in the Genesee Valley. An equal number of freight trains also went through here.

This was the route of the "Phoebe Snow," one of the country's finest passenger trains with the best roadbeds in the country. The conductors would recite with pride: "Says Phoebe Snow about to go. Upon a trip to Buffalo. My gowns stay white from morn till night. Upon the Road of Anthracite." Johnstown, one son, Jack Glover of Alfred; his mother, Mrs.

BEUERLEIN said the other day while visiting the depot, where now a lone employee works, that not long ago three operators and a station agent worked here and two of three men handled the freight depot work. Two main line tracks and two side tracks were in front of the depot where now only a single grass and weed-filled track runs. Beuerlein, whose nick name is "Ganny," aquired in his basketball playing days with the St.

Patrick's town teams, started working for the railroad as a clerk in February, 1918. He has worked under several agents, since his first boss, Joseph Malloy. The sole occupant of the once busy station is Ted Swain, who dispatches cars of carload lots for the one local train that runs daily between East Buffalo and Groveland. Dansville freight from the Foster-Wheeler Corp. is picked up in Groveland off the Dansville-Mt. Morris Railroad, that runs between Groveland and Dansville. The agent never sees a train on the track. The train runs at night after Swain has gone home.

Fla. A native of Susquehanna, he spent most of his lite in Hornell and was employed by the former Erie Railroad and the Merrill Hosiery Co. He moved to Florida 19 years ago Surviving are a stepson, Ralph Green, with whom he resides; two stepdaughters; a grandson, and three great-grandchildren.
