The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra received $57,000 in 1976, so it stands to lose $19,000. Tony H. The orchestra is also seeing its grant from the state council reduced from $425,000 to $333,000 next year. Dechario said that for every dollar the orchestra receives from the it spends $34, most of it locally.

WILLIAM J. PEARCE, president and general manager of WXXI TV-FM, said the local television and radio station might be forced to cut back on local programming, but he said he didn't foresee any staff layoffs. Channel 21 got $47,500 from the county this year, and also got another $16,500 from Wayne, Livingston and Ontario counties. The 12 "authorized agencies" of the county are not solely arts organizations. The Health Planning Council, the Humane Society, Soil Conservation, the Legal Aid Society, the Monroe County Fair Association, the Regional Council on Aging and the Legal Assistance Corp.
