Hart, 79, ironde-quoit peace justice 26 years who retired in 1963, died yesterday (Nov. 9, 1970) at the Baird Nursing Home, 2150 St. "Paul St.

Hart was probably best remembered for something he did not do. In 1961 he refused the Republican nomination for town supervisor in Ironde-'quoit, saying that if elected he would be "either amerefig-iurehead or hamstrung on all the real issues." "Those who now professs support (for" me)," he said, "would have ditched me if they could." His decisions over the years helping countless adults and 'youngsters out of jams came 'from the heart as well as the Tmind. "Handling family troubles gave me the most enjoyment," he once said. "You always felt if you could get the families together again, you've done something. It makes you feel good." Hart never had a law degree.

He was first elected in Ijl937 while he was a storekeeper. The last two times he ran 'for office he ran ahead of the rest of the Republican slate.
