Born Lois Dickinson in East Orange, N.J., Mrs. Hill was a descendant of the DeLand family of Fairport. She moved to the Rochester area in 1903 with her family, and in 1909 joined the First Baptist Church where her father was pastor. Mrs. Hill was an active member of the church.

She graduated from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, in 1920 with a degree in liberal arts. In 1923, she married Leonard H. Henderson, an insurance executive. He died in 1964. In 1967 she married Robert A.

Hill, the retired president of the former Aeolian American Piano Co. in East Rochester. He died in 1985. Mrs. Hill was affiliated with many area groups, including the Rochester General Hospital Larkspur Twig, which does work to benefit the hospital, and Hakkoreoth, a reading club.

She also was a member of the Country Club of Rochester and the Century Club, and a former member of the Chatterbox Club. The latter two are women's clubs, said her son, James Henderson of Rochester. During the 1930s, Mrs. Hill was a member of the board of trustees of Keuka College. She also was a member of the women's board of Highland Hospital in the 1940s and early 1950s, her son said.

She also did volunteer work on behalf of the Red Cross during World War II. In recent years, Mrs. Hill's primary interest was her family. She enjoyed spending weekends at the family's cottage on Canandaigua Lake playing bridge, her son said. Her grandson, Pete Henderson of Rochester, remembered her as a generous woman.

The plates are made by inmates at the state Correctional Facility at Auburn and take four to six months to process.

Judy Zelony, who drives a white, T-top '83 Camaro, took advantage of the two extra spaces allowed on the tags. Her plates read PANGYRIC, a variation of the word "panegyric" and her pet name. Zelony, who's had both car and plates for six years, was first called this name by a childhood sweetheart. "It was given as a nickname when I was 12 years old by a boyfriend," said Zelony. "He calls me this because I always say nice things." Zelony admits her pet name is a spin-off of this idea.

"It's Latin for eulogizer," she said. Pet names aren't the only inspiration for vanity license plates. overhead. This movie is NOT subtle. Writer Dennis Hackin tries to flesh out the story with a few minor subplots, involving Rip's relationship with his brother, and his growing affection for a lovely new assistant (played by Joan Severance, who is worth seeing in the current See No Evil, Hear No Evil, but not in this film.) Mostly, though, No Holds Barred tranfers the simplistic, unimaginative TV pro wrestling formula to film, setting up obvious good guy bad guy confrontations, and then never delivering In addition to her son and grandson, Mrs.

Campbell in 1926 and they came to Rochester. The couple started the photo studio in 1939 in their former home on Thurston Road. Mr. Campbell had formerly been a photographer with Gannett Rochester Newspapers and through his work, Mrs. Campbell developed an interest in photography.

"She helped him with almost everything," said Kathleen Campbell, Mrs. Campbell's daughter-inlaw. "She was more or less his partner in every way." Mrs. Campbell did the bookkeeping and photo retouching, as well as managing the studio. Throughout the years, Mrs.

Campbell belonged to several area organizations. She was a member of the Professional Photographers of New York State, a past president of the Rochester Area Chamber of Commerce Women's Council, a member of the Greater Rochester Professional Photographers, and a member of the Zonta Club of Rochester, which her daughter-in-law described as similar to the Rotary Club for men. It reads "6QUADR" What is a 6QUADR? Well, it's short for 6 Quamina Drive, located on the northeast side of Rochester. But why Qua Drive? "I tried to get the entire address on my tag, but it was too long," said Dunwoody. A popular name that rides around on the plates of many Cadillacs in 1 the Rochester area is VALLEY.

Valley Cadillac, at 3100 South Winton Road, has 19 Cadillacs that wear the company's name. The plates read VALLEY1 through VALLEY19. Lest you think VALLEY stands for a family's name or tells where a family lives, Linda Tschiderer, who handles billing, registration and other DMV work for Valley gives this explanation. "We use those plates as a courtesy to customers who bring their car in for service work, or for body shop work to be done." anything nearly as exciting as promised. On film, the overly ripe melodramatics of the ring, the questionable talents of the participants, and the obvious fakery of the wrestling are heightened and become even more of a big, bad joke.

I couldn't get out of this movie fast enough. CLOSING CREDITS: No Holds Barred. At the Stoneridge, Webster, Marketplace, and Pittsford Plaza theaters. 1:35. Rated PG-13, probably because of the endless head-bashing and body-crushing.
