January 30, 2011 Anthony Funeral Cremation Chapels -Badman Funeral Home Fort Collins, CO: Cecelia Stevens, 73, passed away January 25, 2011 after a brief illness. She was a native of Syracuse, New York, and a graduate of Nottingham High School where she met her husband John B. Stevens who she married on August 1, 1959. She is the daughter of the late John H. Hawkins and Claire Evans Robertson who resided in the Syracuse area.

Cecelia graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston in 1958 and attended Harvard College for her English courses. She raised a family of four children with her husband in Auburn and Rochester, New York over fifteen years before moving to the Eastern Shore on Maryland. Subsequently the family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1991. She is survived by her husband, John Stevens and their three daughters, Jennifer and her husband, David Van Dorpe, Holly and her husband, Bill Wright, Trina and her husband, Steve Blazek and a son, John Ill and his wife, Caroline. She has a sister, Suzanne Canfield residing in Portland Oregon.

She is survived also by eight grandchildren, Marley and Cassidy Wright of Fort Collins, Jeremy Hyatt of Fredrick, Maryland, Zachary and Alexandra Blazek of Broomfield, Colorado, Colton and Connor Van Dorpe of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Ryan Dunton of Ocean City. According to family tradition, a family graveside memorial service will be held in the future in New Jersey. Family and Friends will be invited to her home in Fort Collins in June of this year during the first blooming of Cecelia's rose garden for the purpose of remembering her beautiful life and vibrant personality.
